The Classic Favorite Amongst Florida Keys Resorts…

Cheeca Lodge is a AAA Four-Diamond, elegant oceanfront resort in the Florida Keys nestled on 27 beautifully landscaped acres. With a rich West Indies style décor, the resort features more than 1,200 feet of palm-fringed beach...

...and crystal-clear water, six tennis courts, swimming pools, a signature fishing pier, three whirlpool tubs and a nine-hole, Par 3 Jack Nicklaus golf course.

Cheeca Lodge also boasts a full-service 4,200 square foot spa with various treatment rooms, a fully-equipped fitness studio and an adults-only pool area complete with cabanas and poolside butlers. Kids will want for nothing when joining the fun and activities at Camp Cheeca.

The 199 lodging accommodations, suites and beach bungalows at Cheeca Lodge are luxuriously appointed with plasma televisions, paddle ceiling fans, rain showers, soaking tubs and the finest linens. Guests can choose to dine in the casual Ocean Terrace Grill or enjoy fine dining at Atlantic’s Edge. The Curt Gowdy Lounge and the beach bar are perfect spots to sit back and enjoy the view with a cocktail.

Cheeca Lodge is defined by its strong ties to the lush, natural surroundings of the Florida Keys. With its location in Islamorada, the sport fishing capital of the world, and the diving capital of North America, the resort offers guests opportunities for endless outdoor activities. Explore all that the Florida Keys have to offer in recreation through snorkeling, eco-trips, sailing, windsurfing, scuba diving, and of course, sport fishing.

As the perfect destination for Florida weddings, private group functions and family vacations, Cheeca Lodge radiates a sense of casual elegance and is a classic favorite amongst Florida resorts.

A Florida Resort Like No Other…

Cheeca Lodge is a relaxing retreat surrounded by the charm of the Florida Keys and has been an important part of the Islamorada community for decades. Cheeca Lodge’s history began in 1946, when Mrs. Clara Mae Downey, owner of the Olney Inn outside Washington, D.C., built the Islamorada Olney Inn on the present site. The next owners were the heirs of the A & P grocery chain, Carl and Cynthia “Che-Che” Twitchell, who completely rebuilt the resort and renamed it “Cheeca” by merging their names.
